No, anthro does not rule. These are rules regarding anthros, whether or not you wish to follow them, I do not care, I follow them because I want to make, pay attention here, believable characters.
1: all anthro's are not shapeshifters. Yes, there may be one or two were-like creatures, but if they do, they are abilities they have little to no control over.
2: being part animal does not make them superior to the rest of humanity. While social structures where they were raised may lead them to believe this, or the opposite, they are for the most part, normal people, who get shit for being this, that, and everything else, they work jobs if the normal people tolerate them, they pay rents, have kids, shop at grocery stores...and, watch carefully: WEAR CLOTHES.
3: they are not immortal. Some are immoral, but they are generally mortal with one or two exceptions. They are born, they age, and they die. My anthro chick who looks 25? She IS 25. I know, it's a wonderous concept to behold, mortal anthro characters that don't command the power of gods.
4: speaking of gods, my anthro characters are not the personification of gods. They do not have the power to destroy cities with a snap of their fingers. They do not command the seas and skies. The powers of heaven are not bent to their will and wrapped around their finger. They are normal creatures who's degree of magical profeciency varries from anthro to anthro.
5: they do not go from raving maniac one second to peaceful puppy the next because they've got "issues". Or because they're part animal. yes, being part animal may make them more vicious in a fight, but that isn't to say they're emo and cut themselves or freak over blood.
6: furry anthro's DONT WEAR PANTS AND SLEEVES. I don't know how clear to make this, but as anyone who has hairy legs or arms will back me up(I only have the former), wearing tight clothes over hair is painful. Try wearing a skull-tight sock over your buzz-cut. it doesn't work. Yes, they cover up, to the degree that is possible and comfortable.
7: anthro's are not people with fur, animal ears/tails/animal heads. They are a more blended mix of human and the animal in question. They aren't japanese catgirls.
I really like your gallery. I'm taking some 3D classes right now to try and learn how to do some stuff, more for myself in my spare time than for a career. How long did it take you to be able to do things like this?
well, if you're taking 3D classes, you'll learn how to actually make the meshes I'm using, which is a far harder, but more rewarding task. Poser isn't too hard to learn I think. it's just kinda expensive.
